ASA Basic Coastal Cruising Certifications


This fun-filled class is our most popular learn to sail course. It adds to your sailing knowledge by taking you on to ASA Basic Coastal Cruising certification. You start from the same place as in Basic Sailing but this 4-day course expands your ability to handle boats in stronger winds and more challenging situations.

After a fun filled four days of instruction on the Colgate 26 you will receive:

ASA Certification for Basic Keelboat
ASA Certification for Basic Coastal Cruising
The ASA Official Log Book
The ASA text "Sailing Fundamentals"
Eligibility to rent similar sailboats at Lighthouse Landing and many charter locations around the world

Practical Sailing is offered through the week or as a four-day weekend.   As always, class size is limited to four students. Reserve a Lakeside Cottage or Guest Room for a complete Lighthouse Landing experience.
