Grand Rivers Jetty & Walking Trail

Accidentally found a gem!

Decided to get off the highway and visit Grand River. One of the first places I came to was Lighthouse Landing Resort and Marina, I instantly fell in love with it and decided to check out the location and cabins for a possible stay at a later date. I was so taken I decided to stay that night. I had a guest room over a building beside the office/gallery. It was perfect, the bed was great, the room was clean with plenty of room, small refrig, microwave, coffee maker. Free wifi and good tv reception. The marina is just fantastic to walk about, it is right above the town jetty into the lake and I really enjoyed just sitting and watching the boats on the lake. There is a grill available and every cabin or guest room has a deck with chairs. The sunset over the lake is not to be missed.

Fun place to stay, even off season

We stayed three nights in a Condo cottage on a bluff overlooking Kentucky Lake recently. We lucked out on the weather as it was in the upper sixties. We had fabulous views off our deck and from the cottage. We saw three eagles flying over the lake fairly close. We were able to walk into Grand Rivers and saw a Christmas program at the Badgett Playhouse which was a high quality professional show. There are plenty of small shops and places to eat in and near town. It made for a very relaxing visit.
